The design of this Gerry Weber store in Düsseldorf clearly reflects the characteristics of the fashion brand: It is easy to get an overview of the whole store, clothes and accessories are displayed in an orderly fashion and the interior creates a clean and minimalistic environment. The facade consists of three big portals made from white prefab concrete. The floors are set-back from the facade creating a three storey high void. The finishes in the building are all kept in white focussing all attention to the fashion on display.
In the centre a generous staircase connects all floors. The stairs are wide enough to be used as a display for mannequins, giving an inviting gesture for people to visit all floors of the store.
